1970-75

Brice immersed himself in studio work, and declined to exhibit while focused on the developing vocabulary of iconography and imagery inspired by London and Greece.

1975

Brice moved from the studio adjacent to his home to an industrial space in Santa Monica. The skylights and large expanse allowed Brice to explore a different scale and sense of light to his painting.

1978

Works from 1970–75 were shown in associated exhibitions at the Los Angeles Institute of Contemporary Art (LAICA), and Nicholas Wilder Gallery, also in Los Angeles.
