The BRICE CHARITABLE FOUNDATION’s (BCF) mission is to educate the public about the art and life of William Brice (1921-2008) and about art in general through exhibitions, loans of artwork; publication of educational materials; sponsorship of seminars; and, other activities as may promote these goals.

To support this effort, the BCF website, WilliamBrice.org, provides an extensive gallery of art work images, library of published and unpublished writings, archival photographs, and anecdotal materials illuminating the artist’s life as well the era and environment in which he lived and worked.

Additionally, our Catalogue Raisonné project aims to locate and document all the unique works in the artist’s oeuvre. In so doing, we will build a comprehensive resource for art professionals—scholars, curators, and writers— about William Brice, the man, artist, and professor impacted so many others.

The BRICE CHARITABLE FOUNDATION is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) foundation. We accept and appreciate donations supporting our mission.

Ms. Earls-Solari is the Foundation’s curator. She has worked as an independent curator and art professional within museums and corporate art programs since 1974. She joined with John Brice at the inception of this project in 2009.

Michael Portis is the website’s art director and a former UCLA student of William Brice. He’s worked closely with John Brice to coordinate and execute this website’s design and functionality.

Jeremy Broekman of BROEKMAN communications is our creative director and website developer.  As well as executing and managing this website, Jeremy has been instrumental in launching and maintaining the Foundation’s social media and PR initiatives and platforms. The collaboration now spans over 12 years and we’re grateful for his contribution and efforts, and will forever be a friend to the Foundation.

We’re grateful to Péter Bálványos’ (aka “Firsh”) for dedicated time, effort and assistance in bringing our project to fruition. Firsh’s Justified Image Grid plugin (available here on Codecanyon) provides the site’s core art gallery functionality.
